What are lash extensions? . . .

Lash extensions are semi permanent piece of synthetic hair that is placed directly against your natural lash, which results in longer, fuller looking eyelashes. Lash extensions do not touch the skin and actually promotes growth in your natural lashes.

How long do lash extensions last? . . .

The extensions will shed out with your natural lashes, which have a life cycle of two to three weeks. Lash extensions are semi-permanent, not permanent. If you never get a refill you can expect your last extension to shed out n about two months. Refills are recommended every two to three weeks to maintain a full set.

If you follow the proper after care instructions, these lashes can last 2-4 weeks before you need a fill. However, it depends on your lash cycle. Some clients come in more often than others. These lashes will last 2-3 months before they all fall off without a fill-in.

Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes? . . .

No, when extensions are properly applied they do not damage your natural lashes. They actually promote lash growth! :)

How do I prepare for my appointment? . . .

Please ensure your eyelashes are squeaky clean. No traces of makeup, dirt or residue. The retention of your extensions is much better when your lashes are clean and oil free. This will also mean the eyelash technician can spend more time applying eyelashes than cleaning them.

How long does the application of lash extensions take? . . .

A full set of classic lashes can take anywhere from one hour to three hours depending on the type of full set the client is requesting from light to natural to dramatic.

How do I care for my lash exensions? . . .

DO- Keep your lashes clean by washing your face and lash line daily. Use an oil free wash or lash shampoo to remove dirt, makeup, oil, dry skin, etc. Wash all around our lash line, rinse with water and pat dry.

DO- Brush and groom your lashes daily with a disposable mascara wand by spinning the wand between your index finger and thumb, be sure to brush your lashes when they are dry.

DO- Schedule regular fill ins, typically every 2-3 weeks.

DON'T- Use products on/ near your lashes that contain oil. This includes cosmetics, make up removers, cleansers or moisturizers. Look for products that are water-based, not water proof. It is not recommended to use any mascara.

DON'T- Rub or pull on your lashes. This can cause your natural lashes to fall out prematurely and cause breakage and permanent damage to the hair follicle. The less you touch your lashes, the longer they will last between fills.

DON'T- Curl your lash extensions with an eyelash curler. Expose your lashes to high heat, I.E. a hot oven, fire, grills, etc. this will singe and severely damage your lash extensions.

DON'T- Worry when you lose an extension. Each extension will fall out with its natural lash during it's normal growth cycle. Anywhere from 2-4 lashes per day is normal.

Can I use mascara? . . .

No. But if you insist, you can only use oil-free water based mascara on the tips of your eyelash extensions. Only on the tip of your lashes, never in the base of your lashes. Please remove your eye make up daily with oil free make up remover wipes to keep your eyelash extensions clean and bacteria free.
